We provide a number of different music and cultural pursuits to our students.
All students participate in weekly music lessons, with a specialist music teacher. These lessons aim to provide students with the opportunity to experience a more in depth and detailed experience where students can listen to, perform and create music.
Students in year 3-6 are also able to participate in instrumental music lessons with a specialist instrumental teacher. UPSS currently offers only strings instruments, but is exploring options to expand into a multi instrument program over the coming years.
We also have a school choir who meets weekly for practice. Our choir takes part in Eisteddfods, as well as conducting various shows at different times throughout the year.
Lastly, we also have a lunchtime singing group known as "school of pop" where students can learn recent chart topping hits and enjoy a sing-along with their friends. "School of pop" is simply for the fun and enjoyment of singing and learning new songs.
