STEM at UPSS is an ever developing and flourishing agenda. We understand that the world our students will live in as adults, will be strongly dominated by technology.
Aside from in-class Information and Communication Technology (ICT) lessons, we aim to provide our students with a range of STEM based choices.
Firstly, we have our very own "Makerspace" classroom. Our Makerspace is filled with a range of different materials, manipulatives and technologies, where our students can explore all aspects of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
We also run a lunchtime Minecraft activity where our students can experience coding, building challenges, chat, design competitions and general Minecraft gameplay, all within a supervised and teacher controlled environment.
UPSS also has an established E-Sports team. Our E-Sports team competes in both Mario Kart and Rocket League competitions. These are run internally and against other schools. Our E-Sports team is highly sought after by students and therefore selection into the team is on a merit basis.
We also have robotics kits, circuits, coding lessons and a range of school based infrastructure to support such activities.
