Aside from scheduled physical education lessons, Urangan Point State School students also have a number of different options in regards to sporting endeavours.
Representative opportunities exist for students in Athletics, Cross Country and Swimming. Additionally, students can also nominate themselves to participate in sporting trials for various sports including Rugby League, Netball, Cricket, Softball, AFL, Touch Football and more.
Each term, students participate in Gala Days. Gala Days provide all of our students in years 4-6 with the opportunity to play against other schools from the Hervey Bay District in a nominated sport of their choice. The aim of Gala Days is friendly competition and an opportunity to play in a team sport, alongside their UPSS peers.
